Heading: Is our faith still relevant today?
Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7: 14
We live in an age of information overload. With a few clicks, we have more knowledge and skills to our disposable than any other era in human history.
Why then, are we sick with more deadly diseases and confronted with unemployment daily? Why is it we still struggle to understand the one book that is the oldest most read book in the world?
Is it because we think the Bible is not relevant any longer?
Can it be that we are so elevated that we have forgotten the basic fundamental laws of the Word?
My answer will be yes to all the above questions. God has been removed so far back that we have become blind for His hand in our world. We think with our superior knowledge that we have surpassed Him. But that’s not true. Now, more than ever, we need Him and the Bible, as our manual, in our lives. To be truly free from the yokes that imprison us.
The scripture is very clear, “If my people, who are called by my Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from the wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Today I confess that I have pushed You aside, Heavenly Father, thinking I know best. I have become complacent with my life, although I realize not everything is as it should be. Father, my children are rebelling, my family struggles to get work. I am surrounded by the poor with no idea how to help. Father, forgive me for pushing You out of the way. I know nothing, but you know. You have the Wisdom and Power to change every person in my life. I declare you are in control and will give me the insight I need to be more effective in my world.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
